Every three to four years, Foundation staff and Board members review and refresh our priority theme areas in light of the results of the Listening for Direction consultation with healthcare system leaders across Canada. For the next three to five years, the Foundation’s work will focus on the following four themes:
Existing work commitments that have already been initiated in past theme areas will be maintained and supported as per current agreements.
The Listening for Direction process is designed to identify the important and pressing issues in the management and organization of health service delivery that would benefit from an investment in research. These issues are then “translated” into certain broad theme areas with examples of researchable questions in terms of synthesis and new research.
