Werner Müller-Clemm, Director, Strategic EvaluationDirector, Strategic Evaluation

As CHSRF’s director of Strategic Evaluation, Werner manages all significant program evaluations across the organization, including surveys, needs assessments, proposals, grants and contracts. Working collaboratively with directors and program leads, he ensures that evaluation activities will produce the information necessary to make sound, evidence-informed decisions to support high-quality program development and delivery.

Prior to joining CHSRF, Werner headed up the corporate evaluation unit at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, where he conducted research into new theories and techniques in the evaluation of major health programs, and guided the development of a revolving five-year corporate evaluation plan. He has also been a director with the Canada Revenue Agency, where he was responsible for strategic performance measurement, and has worked with the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, where he provided guidance to senior management on audit planning, survey implementation and reporting of survey results.

Werner is a graduate of the University of Victoria. During his time there he earned an interdisciplinary PhD specializing in Evaluation and an MA in Psychology.
